Bisibelebath Masala - 130g

An aromatic masala for a comforting rice, lentil and vegetable meal.

Ingredients: Coriander seeds, channa dal, sesame seeds, dried coconut, asafoetida, curry leaves, fenugreek, poppy seeds, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, cumin, red chillies and urad dal.

Preparation: Pressure cook 1 cup rice and ¾ cup toor dal with vegetables, sautéed onions, tamarind extract, a little jaggery, salt, water and 4–5 spoons of masala. Finish with a tempering of ghee, mustard seeds, red chillies, asafoetida, curry leaves and cashews. Garnish with coriander.
